How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you a passionate and strategic SEND leader ready to make a lasting impact across a growing and ambitious Trust?

We are seeking an exceptional Head of SEND to lead and drive our vision for inclusion, ensuring every child receives the support, opportunities and high-quality education they deserve. This is an exciting opportunity to influence SEND provision across multiple schools, working alongside senior leaders to raise standards, remove barriers to learning and improve outcomes for some of our most vulnerable learners.

As Head of SEND, you will provide both strategic and operational leadership, championing inclusive practice and ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice while developing a culture where all pupils can thrive.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Inclusion and Belonging / Deputy CEO, you will:

* Lead the Trust-wide SEND strategy and drive continuous improvement across all schools.

* Quality assure EHCPs, provision maps, support plans and intervention programmes.

* Monitor attainment, attendance, behaviour and progress of pupils with SEND and disadvantaged learners.

* Develop the leadership capacity of SENDCOs through coaching, mentoring and professional development.

* Support schools in preparing for Ofsted, Local Authority and SEND reviews and inspections.

* Oversee alternative provision, inclusion pathways and reintegration programmes.

* Analyse SEND and pupil premium data to identify trends, address gaps and improve outcomes.

* Work collaboratively with Headteachers, Senior Leaders, Attendance Leads, Behaviour Leads and Safeguarding Teams.

* Promote evidence-informed, research-led teaching strategies that improve outcomes for learners with additional needs.

* Provide expert guidance on statutory SEND responsibilities and emerging national developments.

* Be a visible and proactive leader across the Trust, supporting schools to deliver outstanding inclusive provision.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced educational leader who:

* Has substantial experience leading SEND provision within a school or multi-school setting.

* Possesses an excellent understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current SEND legislation.

* Has a proven track record of improving outcomes for pupils with SEND and other vulnerable groups.

* Demonstrates strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.

* Is skilled in analysing data and translating findings into meaningful improvement strategies.

* Has experience of supporting schools through inspection and quality assurance processes.

* Is committed to inclusion, equity and ensuring every child can achieve their full potential.

* Builds strong relationships with staff, families, external agencies and wider stakeholders.

What We Offer

* The opportunity to shape and influence SEND provision across a thriving Trust.

* A supportive and collaborative leadership team.

* Access to high-quality professional development and leadership opportunities.

* A strong commitment to staff wellbeing and work-life balance.

* The chance to make a meaningful difference to the lives of children and young people.

Why Join Us?

Our Trust is committed to creating environments where every child feels valued, supported and inspired to succeed. We believe inclusion is everyone's responsibility and that exceptional SEND provision sits at the heart of excellent education.

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead strategic change, develop outstanding practice and ensure that every learner receives the support they need to flourish.
