We are looking for experienced Class 2 Drivers to join our client in Darlington (DL1 2NG), with opportunities available for both Skip Drivers and Roll On Roll Off (RORO) Drivers.
This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable and professional HGV drivers looking for regular, ongoing work with excellent rates of pay.
✅ What We Offer a Class 2 Driver:
• £15.00 per hour Monday – Friday
• £17.00 per hour Saturday & Sunday
• £18.00 per hour for any hours worked over 40 hours
• Monday – Friday, 7:00am until approximately 5:00pm
• Saturday mornings on a rota basis, usually 1 in 3
• Ongoing work with a well-established recycling operation
• Opportunities for both Skip and RORO driving

🔑 Key Responsibilities for a Class 2 Driver:
• Safely operate Class 2 vehicles to collect and deliver skips or RORO containers
• Complete collections and deliveries safely and efficiently
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Ensure loads and containers are transported securely
• Complete relevant paperwork accurately
• Follow all site, health & safety and environmental procedures
• Comply with drivers’ hours and Working Time Regulations
• Maintain a professional attitude when dealing with customers and site staff
🎯 Experience & Qualifications Needed for a Class 2 Driver:
• Valid Class 2 (C) licence
• Valid CPC and Digi Tacho Card
• Previous Class 2 driving experience
• Skip or RORO experience preferred, although relevant HGV experience will be considered
• Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and Working Time Regulations
• No more than 6 points on licence
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach
• Good communication and customer service skills
