TeacherActive is proud to be working with a large Secondary School based in Blackley, which has been awarded an ‘Outstanding’ OFSTED rating. The school provides a positive and high-achieving environment for both pupils and staff, with a strong focus on delivering an excellent standard of education.
The school is looking to take on a Science Technician from October on a full-time, long-term basis. The successful Science Technician will support the Science department with the preparation and organisation of practical lessons, maintaining equipment and resources, and ensuring laboratories are safe and ready for teaching.
The successful Science Technician will have:
• Experience working as a Science Technician within a UK school is essential
• Experience preparing equipment and resources for Science practical lessons
• Knowledge of laboratory health and safety procedures
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a Science department
• A reliable, proactive and adaptable approach
