The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing client for an Assembly / Finisher to join their team in Eastbourne. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in assembly, finishing, or fitting who takes pride in producing high quality work.
You will play a key role in ensuring components meet strict quality standards, working within a clean, organised, and safety focused environment.
Finish components to a high standard, ensuring surfaces are free from defects
Carry out testing and inspection operations on chambers
Set up and operate leak testing equipment (mass spectrometry)
Assemble and fit components in line with technical requirements
Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised workspace
Follow all health & safety and quality procedures
Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements
Previous experience in finishing, fitting, or assembly
Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Confident using handheld power tools
Good understanding of quality standards and attention to detail
Experience within UHV / HV environments
Ability to work on complex small and large assemblies
Good level of physical fitness and manual dexterity
