An innovative engineering company developing cutting edge industrial technology is looking for an R&D Engineer to join its growing research and development team. This is a varied, hands on role where you will contribute to the design, development, assembly and evaluation of new technologies, working alongside experienced engineers across mechanical, electrical, optics and software disciplines.
Responsibilities
* Support the design and development of new products and technologies.
* Assist with the build, integration and testing of prototype systems.
* Work on multidisciplinary engineering projects from concept through to evaluation.
* Carry out experimental work, testing and technical investigations.
* Analyse results and recommend design improvements.
* Produce engineering documentation, reports and technical drawings where required.
* Support the transition of new products from development into manufacture.
* Collaborate with colleagues and suppliers to solve complex engineering challenges.
Requirements
* Degree qualified, or equivalent experience, in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Physics or a related engineering discipline.
* An interest in research and development, product development or complex engineering systems.
* Strong analytical and practical problem solving skills.
* Comfortable working within a laboratory, workshop and office environment.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
