The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Mobile M&E Engineer to support a portfolio of commercial contracts across Oxfordshire and the Midlands.
Due to the geographical spread of the sites and operational response requirements, applicants should live within easy access of the M40 corridor to enable efficient travel throughout the region.
This is a varied mobile role where you will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing and reactive maintenance across multiple commercial sites. You'll work independently while receiving full support from an experienced service desk and management team, ensuring you have everything needed to deliver an excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing and reactive maintenance across multiple commercial sites
* Respond to reactive maintenance requests during normal working hours and participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota
* Communicate effectively with customers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure efficient service delivery
* Liaise with the internal service desk and administration teams to coordinate maintenance activities
* Maintain accurate service reports, logbooks and maintenance records
* Keep management informed of job progress, site issues and any additional work requirements
* Attend customer sites punctually, professionally presented and wearing appropriate PPE
* Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with current Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice
Skills & Experience
Essential
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical (M&E) building services
Experience maintaining HVAC plant, including air conditioning, boilers, heating, ventilation and associated controls
Good understanding of Legionella control requirements
Sound knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification
Time-served mechanical or maintenance engineer (apprenticeship preferred)
Competent using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Full UK driving licence
