The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
The Painter is responsible for carrying out high-quality paint touch-ups and detailed finishing work on manufactured containers, ensuring products meet defined quality, durability, and appearance standards. The role supports overall manufacturing output by maintaining finish integrity and supporting rework and rectification activities where required.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary manufacturing team, the Painter ensures all work is carried out to the highest professional and technical standards while maintaining a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities in this role include:
Prepping, sanding, applying body filler, priming and painting shelters and component parts.
Must have the ability to mix, primer and paint, by weight and volume, in accordance with paint manufacturer's specifications.
Prepare parts and shelters to time, cost and quality.
Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environment policies and procedures.
Work in accordance with Paint shop procedures (Housekeeping and good working practices).
Due to projected manufacturing demands, shift work and overtime may be required.
Clean and maintain spray equipment.
Apply undercoat to deployable shelters.
Other duties as assigned.
Apply if you have most of the following:
Experience working in a manufacturing, assembly, or vehicle build environment.
Experience working within a regulated or quality-controlled manufacturing environment.
Technical skills/education
Proven experience in a professional paint spraying role.
Ability to use HVLP gravity spray guns, as well as pressure pot
Knowledge of sandblasting, desirable
Able to work well within a team and follow training with minimal supervision.
Attention to detail and ability to follow processes and instructions.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with other stakeholders.
Red Seal Painter preferred but not required. (Will consider equivalent of 5,400 hours of practical experience in an automotive painter occupation).
Additional local needs:
Full time working onsite would be required
Successful candidate would be required to obtain BPSS
