We are currently collaborating with a specialist joinery and interior fit out contractor based in Suffolk. Established over 40 years ago the company started as a Joinery subcontractor and has grown exponentially and acting as both principal contractor and subcontractor with four different divisions all showcasing bespoke joinery finishes.
They pride themselves on their client satisfaction as a large portion of their work comes from repeat client. Last year the company saw a 25% increase to their turnover of over £35 million and a 5% increase in staff.
The Role
Our client is currently seeking to recruit an Estimator to Senior Estimator to join their preconstruction team in Suffolk.
Working on a diverse range of specialist joinery and interior fit-out projects, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing tender submissions, and supporting projects from initial enquiry through to contract award. You will work closely with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and the wider commercial and operational teams to ensure competitive and commercially viable tenders are produced.
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Prepare accurate estimates and tender submissions for specialist joinery and interior fit-out projects
* Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to assess project requirements
* Produce quantity take-offs and detailed cost plans
* Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
* Identify value engineering opportunities while maintaining quality and client expectations
* Liaise with clients, architects, designers, and the internal project teams throughout the tender process
* Assist with procurement strategies and project handovers following successful tenders
* Maintain estimating records, cost databases, and supplier relationships
* Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate
Salary description
£45000.00 - £55000.00 per year
