The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Group Health & Safety Manager – FMCG (6-Month Contract)
We are supporting a large, multi-site FMCG business in the appointment of a Group Health & Safety Manager on a 6-month contract. This is a key interim role, responsible for leading H&S strategy, compliance, and culture across multiple manufacturing and distribution sites in a fast-paced operational environment.
Working closely with senior leadership and site teams, you will provide clear direction on health & safety performance, ensuring consistent standards across the group while driving continuous improvement and behavioural safety.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead and deliver the group H&S strategy during the contract period
* Partner with site leadership across multiple FMCG locations
* Drive improvements in safety culture and operational compliance
* Ensure adherence to UK H&S legislation and company standards
* Oversee audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
* Report on H&S performance to senior stakeholders
* Provide visible, hands-on leadership across all sites
Candidate requirements:
* Proven H&S leadership experience within FMCG, manufacturing, or similar environments
* Strong understanding of UK H&S legislation and operational application
* NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent); IOSH Chartered status preferred
* Experience in multi-site or group-level roles
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to influence at all levels
