2 towers in the project – 25 storeys & 8 storeys

ROLE DESCRIPTION
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Health and Safety
Become familiar with and ensure full compliance of group OHS&E procedures
Ensure Site Rules are abided to and assist the site team in managing this.
Requires valid SMSTS and CSCS card for the role.
Comply with St George Safety Training programme and protocols.
Assist with the documentation and filing of all safety records.
Ensuring all RAMS are reviewed and approved prior to works being carried out and kept up to date including RAMs register.
Conduct H&S briefings as required.
Ensure TBT are carried out.
Ensure that all near missing reports and accidents are reported and required documentation produced
Chase down close out of any safety issues that are raised.
Conduct weekly H&S inspections and attend external inspections
Ensure storage and material handling in accordance with plans and SGCY CVS as well as best practice.
Production
Report to Project Manager.
Manage the design, manufacture and construction of Shell and core including MEPH infrastructure and Fit out.
Liaise with contractors to ensure the design is implemented as agreed.
Coordinate with the site team in the management of production activities.
Development of QITP and Ensure full compliance with the ITP including all QA and Commissioning requirements.
Checking plans, drawings for accuracy of installation.
Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.
Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents.
Managing and monitoring whole testing and commissioning procedures and processes – QA Hold points.
Give instructions in respect of the detailed programming and sequence of works and ensure that subcontractors are managed to meet these requirements.
Ensure that contractors have a detailed understanding of the Construction Programme dates and are managed to maintain the Construction Programme. Confirm agreed dates.
Report any shortfalls on the contractor’s performance to programme and quality standards to line
manager when and only when these have not been addressed.
Identify any lack of information as early as possible and achieve resolution with the Technical Department to ensure that the programme is secured.
Liaise with Statutory Authorities and Inspection to ensure all inspections are completed and all service connections completed in accordance with the Construction programme. The job holder must have a clear understanding of the construction process and the sequencing of the trades.
Liaise and monitor the contractors to ensure the design is implemented as agreed.
Liaising with the subcontractors, and management team involved in the project.
Liaising with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance.
Liaising with the consultant and agents (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance.
Planning the work and efficiently organizing the trades to meet agreed deadlines.
Monitor progress against a build programme on a weekly basis.
Preparing progress reports as required.
Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
Raise and close out NCR’s as required. Update the NCR register as necessary.
Commercial
Liaise with Project Manager, SSM and Commercial team regarding instructions and variations.
Understand contract documents and PSI.
Clear commercial acumen to ensure that site activities are planned as set out in the contract and program.
Produce delay reports as required by commercial team and Project Manager.
Raise instructions for any works not covered in contract once confirmed by Project Manager.
Review and comment on contractor reports and application for payment.
Quality Management
Ensure QMP and ITP’s are in place for all subcontractors and these match the TQM 3 requirements. Ensure full Subcontractor compliance including all necessary QA and commissioning requirements.
Understand and implement the required standards of the company’s and consultant’s specification, including British Standards and Eurocode.
Implement the quality management systems throughout the build process
Be able to identify trade failings with quality, document the findings and ultimately ensure the works are rectified to meet the desired standards.
Arrange benchmarks with Local Authority and Consultants as required.
Ensure full compliance with the Project Quality Plan and input information as required.
Coordinate with Quality Champions. QC to be made aware of updates to control documents.
Administration
Contract administration, notices etc.
Site Instructions.
Maintain a daily site diary. Include delays and mitigation measures.
Maintain a record of up-to-date progress photos.
Maintain a record of up-to-date progress and produce progress reports
Salary description
£80000.00 - £85000.00 per year
