Salary: £32,000–£42,000 per annum, depending on experience
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead its domiciliary care service and be accountable for the safe, effective and compliant operation of the branch, ensuring that people receive high-quality, person-centred care in their own homes. The role requires strong operational leadership, sound regulatory knowledge and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day operation of the domiciliary care branch in accordance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations, relevant legislation and company policies.
* Provide effective leadership, supervision and mentoring to care workers, field supervisors and office-based staff.
* Promote a positive culture that places dignity, choice, independence, safety and individual outcomes at the centre of service delivery.
* Complete and oversee initial care assessments, reviews and risk assessments, ensuring that person-centred care plans are accurate, current and responsive to changing needs.
* Check coordination of staff rotas and care visits to maintain safe staffing levels, continuity of care and reliable service delivery.
* Participate in the on-call rota and respond appropriately to urgent operational matters.
* Monitor service quality through audits, spot checks, reviews, feedback and other quality-assurance activities.
* Ensure safeguarding concerns, incidents, complaints and service-user feedback are recorded, investigated, escalated and addressed appropriately.
* Support safe recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal, training and performance management.
* Maintain complete, accurate and confidential records in line with legal, regulatory and organisational requirements.
* Develop effective working relationships with service users, families, local authorities, health professionals and other partner organisations.
* Support the sustainable development of the service while maintaining quality, compliance and person-centred outcomes.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.
* Proven experience as a Registered Manager, or substantial experience as a Care Coordinator or Deputy Manager with readiness to progress into a registered management role.
* Demonstrable experience in domiciliary care or a closely related adult social care setting.
* Strong working knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, health and safety, risk management and person-centred care.
* Experience of supervising staff, managing rotas and monitoring service quality.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
