The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

A leading infrastructure and engineering delivery partner is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Lead / Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major programme of works within the UK water industry.
This position would suit an individual operating at Senior QS level who is ready to step into a broader commercial leadership role, or an experienced Commercial Manager seeking a hands-on delivery-focused position.
The Role
Working within an established project and commercial team, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of water infrastructure projects delivered under long-term framework agreements.
You will play a key role in:
* Managing project commercial performance from pre-construction through delivery
* Overseeing subcontractor procurement and account management
* Managing applications, valuations, variations, and final accounts
* Supporting commercial reporting, forecasting, and cost control
* Providing commercial support to operational teams and senior stakeholders
* Identifying and mitigating commercial risk
* Supporting contractual matters under NEC forms of contract
Requirements
* Strong commercial experience within the water sector is essential
* Background as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager within utilities, civils, or infrastructure
* Good understanding of NEC contracts and framework environments
* Ability to manage projects autonomously while working remotely
* Strong stakeholder communication and negotiation skills
* Experience supporting operational delivery teams in a fast-paced environment
