We are Resi, the UK's number one home extension company, and we're on a mission to bring peace of mind to millions of stressed renovators. We are currently looking for a Freelance Planner to partner with us, to manage planning applications and appeals for private residential projects on behalf of our clients on a flexible basis.
What you'll be doing as a Freelance Planner:
- Preparing, submitting and managing planning applications and appeals on behalf of clients
- Acting as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, triaging queries and allocating actions as needed
- Maintaining timely, proactive correspondence with local planning authorities to maximise the chances of a successful outcome
- Keeping clients informed and engaged at each key stage of the planning process
- Collaborating with our in-house planners to manage and progress casework through to decision
What we're looking for:
- At least 12 months' development management experience within a UK local planning authority or planning consultancy
- Strong working knowledge of the UK planning system, particularly Permitted Development Rights and Householder applications
- Highly organised, with strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple workstreams
- The ability to work independently, managing your own time, deadlines and pipeline of cases
- Open to giving and receiving feedback, and comfortable both challenging and being challenged
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident working directly with clients
- A genuinely customer-focused approach
