About the Role

We are working with a leading organisation within the defence and advanced technology sector, currently looking for a C++ Software Engineer to join a highly capable and collaborative team.

Based in Bristol, you'll contribute to the development of next-generation air defence systems, working on cutting-edge solutions that prioritise safety, performance, and reliability. This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in shaping command and control architectures for future products.

This opportunity is ideal for a proactive engineer who enjoys taking ownership and working across the full software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop command and control architectures for advanced systems
Contribute to the development and evolution of future product instantiations
Work across the full software lifecycle, from requirements through to verification and validation
Collaborate with stakeholders and requirement authorities to define and refine solutions
Produce clear and effective technical documentation
Support continuous improvement by introducing new tools, techniques, and development approaches
Ensure high standards of code quality, safety, and reliability

Skills & Experience Required

Strong background in software engineering
Proven experience developing in C++
Experience working across the full software development lifecycle
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining delivery momentum
