We are looking for a caring, committed and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist educational setting in Welwyn Garden City, supporting children and young people with additional needs. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide individual and small-group support, helping pupils engage with learning and develop their confidence and independence. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to create a calm, structured and nurturing environment, while supporting pupils with their individual needs and learning strategies.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children or young people with SEN, either in a school or another relevant support setting. You should be patient, consistent and compassionate, with the ability to build positive relationships and remain calm when faced with challenging situations.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing 1:1 and small-group support

The Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant Will Have:
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN.
Experience providing 1:1 or small-group support.

The ability to remain calm and professional when situations become challenging.
A proactive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively.
