The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are currently looking for an experienced Site Engineer / Site Manager to join a construction project in Preston, working on a new-build steel-framed shed.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strong engineering and setting-out support. An in date SMSTS and 3-day 1st Aid is required.
Key Responsibilities
Setting out foundations, steelwork and associated structures.
Checking levels, coordinates and dimensions.
Reading and interpreting construction and engineering drawings.
Working closely with steel erectors and groundworkers.
Carrying out quality checks and ensuring works are completed to specification.
Monitoring progress and identifying any technical issues on site.
Liaising with subcontractors and the wider site team.
Maintaining accurate site records and engineering documentation.
Ensuring all works are carried out safely and efficiently.
Requirements
In date SMSTS and 3-day 1st Aid
Previous experience as a Site Engineer on steel frame, industrial or commercial projects.
Strong setting-out experience.
Good understanding of groundworks and structural steelwork.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Confident using engineering equipment and site technology.
