About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Supply Chain/Operations Coordinator to join a growing business in Accrington.
This is a fast-paced coordination role where you will be responsible for helping ensure projects, parts, tooling, and production activities remain on track and delivered on time. You will work closely with engineering, production, procurement, suppliers, and commercial teams to coordinate critical activities, resolve issues quickly, and maintain excellent communication throughout the process.
This role would suit somebody who thrives on organisation, enjoys problem-solving, and naturally takes ownership of keeping things moving. We are specifically looking for somebody who is proactive in their communication — someone comfortable getting up from their desk to speak to colleagues face-to-face, picking up the phone to suppliers, and confidently coordinating stakeholders to resolve issues before they become problems.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Production Coordination
* Coordinate the delivery of internal parts, spares, and tooling projects from order through to completion.
* Manage timelines, priorities, materials, and resources to support on-time project delivery.
* Work closely with engineering, production, manufacturing, and procurement teams to ensure smooth coordination across departments.
* Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks or delays that may impact delivery schedules.
* Support production scheduling and material availability to ensure projects remain on track.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
* Build strong working relationships with suppliers and internal departments.
* Proactively chase suppliers and stakeholders for updates, confirmations, and delivery timelines.
* Coordinate directly with suppliers regarding urgent or critical deliveries.
* Communicate clearly and confidently with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Ensure customer expectations are managed effectively throughout project delivery.
Problem Solving & Operational Support
* Identify potential issues before they escalate and take ownership of resolving them.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams to find practical solutions to supply chain or production challenges.
* Escalate issues appropriately, but only after exploring possible solutions and recommendations.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve coordination and efficiency.
Administration & Reporting
* Maintain accurate project documentation, schedules, and tracking information.
* Support KPI reporting and operational review meetings.
* Assist with purchase order allocation, job file creation, and general coordination activities where required.
* Ensure all activities comply with company procedures and quality standards.
What We’re Looking For
