The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Due to business growth, we are looking to recruit for a Mechanical Design Engineer for a leading manufacturing engineering company based near Keighley. This provides a rare opportunity to join a leading company who are a household name within their industry allowing you to gain exposure to a large variety of different disciplines.
The main purpose of the role is to design and develop new mechanisms and machine systems to support client requirements. This may be new design creation or adaptation of existing designs.
The ideal candidate will be a minimum HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering with a demonstrable background in Mechanical Design.
Hours - Monday - Friday 0745AM - 4PM (Flexitime available)
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and detailing of new components and mechanisms and systems
* Development of new processes including the use of new materials
* Development of existing components / designs
* Issuing of machine parts in SAP in accordance with delivery schedules
* Liaising with sales to provide support for technical bids
* Creating customer documentation and creating /maintaining records to client standards
* Conduct Design reviews - DFMEA's/ PFMEA's
Qualifications & Skills:
* Minimum HNC Qualified in Electrical Engineering .
* Previous CAD Experience - Siemens NX is advantageous
* Demonstrable experinece in Mechanical Design
* Software Skills : MS Office,SAP, CAD software
