Job Title: Long-Distance Van Driver & Fitter (Temp-to-Perm)
Location: Trafford Park
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Pay: £13.50 per hour
Contract: Temp-to-Perm
We are looking for a reliable and hard-working Long-Distance Van Driver & Fitter to join our team based in Trafford Park. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, combining driving, customer service, and hands-on workshop duties.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering and collecting small plant and tools to and from customer sites.
60% warehouse and workshop based and 40% in the van.
Carrying out long-distance van driving across the North of the UK as required.
Loading and unloading equipment safely and securely.
Performing basic mechanical checks, cleaning, and preparing equipment for hire.
Assisting with basic repairs and maintenance where required.
Working in the workshop to ensure equipment is ready for customers.
Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining excellent customer service at all times.
Following all health and safety procedures.
Requirements
Full UK driving licence and over 25 for insurance purposes (essential).
Experience driving vans for commercial deliveries.
Basic mechanical knowledge or experience working with plant, tools, or similar equipment.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Physically fit and able to handle manual lifting.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
What We Offer
£13.50–£14.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Monday to Friday working hours – no weekend work.
