We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Sales, Finance & Marketing Administrator to join our team at Executive Compass.
This is a permanent, office-based role at Hoults Yard in Newcastle, with flexible part-time hours across five days.
You can work between 20 and 30 hours per week, for example:
* 10am-2pm, Monday to Friday
* 9am-3pm, Monday to Friday
or another agreed pattern within those parameters.
This role could suit someone looking for a professional part-time position with predictable weekday hours.
About the role
Executive Compass is an independent bid writing consultancy supporting organisations across the UK to win public and private-sector contracts.
You will join our sales, finance and marketing team and help keep our day-to-day commercial administration accurate, organised and running smoothly.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Maintaining client, enquiry and opportunity records in Salesforce
* Setting up new clients and projects
* Carrying out company credit checks using Creditsafe
* Issuing terms and conditions through Signable
* Raising and issuing invoices through Xero
* Maintaining accurate spreadsheets and business records
* Monitoring outstanding invoices and supporting credit control
* Liaising professionally with clients by telephone and email
* Providing wider sales, marketing and administrative support.
As the role develops, there may also be opportunities to support outbound marketing, website administration and other commercial activities.
About you
You do not need previous experience of bid writing or tenders.
However, this is not a trainee administration role. We are looking for someone who already has experience working in an office, administration, finance support, sales support or similar business environment.
You should be:
* Highly organised
* Accurate and detail-focused
* Confident using IT and learning new systems
* Comfortable working with spreadsheets and business data
* Confident communicating with customers by telephone and email
* Able to manage your own workload
* Proactive and dependable
* Comfortable working in a busy professional office.
Experience of Salesforce, Xero or similar CRM/accounting systems would be helpful but is not essential.
Salary and hours
£30,000 full-time equivalent, pro rata according to hours worked.
The role is available for 20-30 hours per week across Monday to Friday.
Typical working patterns could include:
* 20 hours: approximately 10am-2pm
* 30 hours: approximately 9am-3pm
There is some flexibility around exact start and finish times.
