Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEMH) - Full-Time

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist school in Eccles for a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.

The Role:
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
Assist in managing challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner
Support the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
Promote emotional regulation, social skills, and engagement in learning
Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and structured environmentThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (school, youth work, care, or similar)
Strong behaviour management skills and emotional resilience
A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA) are desirable but not essentialWhat We Offer:
