Commercial Lawyer - Principal Associate | 8+ PQE | Birmingham / Hybrid Working
A top-ranked national law firm is seeking a talented and experienced Commercial Principal Associate to join its expanding team in Birmingham. The Role
As a Principal Associate in the Commercial team, you will:
· Handle a broad range of commercial matters, including high-value supply and purchasing arrangements, agency and distribution contracts, outsourcing agreements, IT and IP contracts, strategic projects, and data protection advice.
· Work with a diverse client base across multiple sectors, offering a wide scope of interesting and complex matters.
· Play a key role in client relationships, business development initiatives, and firm-wide leadership activity.
· Supervise junior team members and contribute to the mentoring and development of colleagues.
· Take part in growing the Birmingham office and shaping the future of the team.
About You
To be successful in your application for this Principal Associate role, you will:
· Be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 8+ years’ PQE in commercial, IP, IT, or technology law.
· Have experience from a recognised City or large regional firm.
· Possess strong technical and drafting skills, with the ability to give clear, commercially focused advice.
· Be confident in handling client relationships and enthusiastic about contributing to business development.
· Demonstrate strong leadership potential and a desire to contribute to team growth and firm-wide initiatives.
· Be collaborative, pragmatic, and client-service oriented.
