We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead a large, busy nursery setting in Derby. This role is ideal for an experienced childcare professional who is confident managing a team, driving high standards of care and education, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate, and support a team of childcare professionals.
* Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
* Maintain high standards of care, learning, and development in line with the EYFS framework.
* Support staff development through coaching, supervision, and performance management.
* Build strong relationships with children, families, and external professionals.
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and Ofsted requirements.
* Monitor occupancy, staffing ratios, and operational effectiveness.
Requirements
* Full and relevant childcare qualification (Level 3 or above).
* Minimum of 1 year's management experience within a nursery setting.
* Proven experience leading and managing a team.
* Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
* Confident working within a large nursery environment.
* A genuine passion for delivering outstanding childcare and early years education.
