The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic/Fitter/Technician to join our maintenance team. In this hands-on role, you will carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, fault diagnosis and repairs to ensure aircraft remain safe, compliant and serviceable. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong technical standards and a commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
Working hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm with occasional opportunities for overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform aircraft maintenance in accordance with approved procedures and regulations.
* Perform fault finding, repairs and component replacement in accordance with approved maintenance data and company procedures.
* Perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance whilst always prioritising safety and regulatory compliance.
* Contributing to the effective day-to-day operation.
* Ensure maintenance activities are executed efficiently and on time.
* Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of maintenance facilities and equipment.
* Check, repair, and modify mechanical, electrical and electronic aircraft components and systems.
* Complete maintenance documentation.
* Support with conducting audits.
* You must comply with health, safety, environmental and sustainability rules and regulations.
Requirements/ Qualification:
* UK CAA or EASA Part-66 Cat A licence, or progress toward licence application (desirable).
* NVQ Level 3 completed in a recognised engineering qualification or the equivalent experience.
* Strong understanding of aircraft mechanical systems, maintenance practices and technical documentation.
* Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, task cards and engineering instructions.
* Ability to complete tasks within defined timescales.
* You must be able to work professionally and responsibly on your own and as part of a team.
* You must be an excellent team player and communicator.
* You must possess excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
* Full UK driving licence (desirable).
