APT Education is recruiting a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Full Time - ASC (Non‑Verbal) to support a Primary‑aged pupil with Autism who is non‑verbal. This is a full‑time role in a warm, supportive Primary school, starting in September.
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time – ASC (Non‑Verbal), you’ll work directly with the Company Director of a local, founder‑led Primary and SEN specialist agency. You will never be treated like a number - you’ll be supported, listened to and placed with care.

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time – ASC (Non‑Verbal), you will provide:
* Consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with ASC
* Communication support for a non‑verbal child (PECS, visuals, gestures)
* Calm, patient and nurturing behaviour support
* Close collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO
* Structured routines, sensory regulation and positive reinforcement
* Full‑time support across the school day

* Experience supporting pupils with Autism (ASC)
* Experience with non‑verbal communication (PECS, visuals or similar)
* Calm, patient and consistent approach
* UK Primary school experience preferred
* Valid DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
