Overview
The client is searching for a Conformal Coating Operative to join the existing team responsible for the coating, inspection and touch-up to the surfaces of printed circuit boards ensuring adherence to required technical and quality standards for a variety of major OEM’s.
The Role
This position will be responsible for the coating, inspection and touch-up to the surfaces of printed circuit boards, utilising specific surface preparation and coating techniques and fully comply with the required build standards.
Main Responsibilities:
· Conformal coating of PCBs ensuring all processes are stringently adhered to and any gaps or suggestions for process improvements are made to your immediate supervisor
· Preparation of solvent based materials in line with manufacturer’s instructions
· Ability to accurately identify coating material to ensure correct material used at all times
· Masking and de-masking and cleaning, as needed
· Adherence to work instructions
· Accurate setting of temperature controls on ovens
· Maintenance of accurate production records
· Routine cleaning and maintenance of tools
· Compliance with the company H&S and Quality standards and procedures
· Able to programme conformal coating machines
· Able to mentor others
Skills and experience:
· Previous experience of conformal coating in an electronic manufacturer essential
· Certification to IPC-A-610 desirable
· Able to follow Customer Drawings
· ESD Awareness
· Attention to detail
· Team Player
· Excellent communication skills
