The Role
As an MET Technician / Strip Fitter, you'll be responsible for dismantling, repairing and reassembling accident-damaged vehicles to manufacturer specifications. Working alongside experienced Panel Beaters and Paint Sprayers, you'll ensure every repair is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standard.
Your Responsibilities
Strip and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components on accident-damaged vehicles.
Carry out repairs using manufacturer-approved repair methods and the latest equipment.
Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults where required.
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Work closely with the wider bodyshop team to maintain a smooth and productive workflow.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Deliver exceptional workmanship while meeting productivity targets.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience as an MET Technician, Strip Fitter or Bodyshop Technician within a busy accident repair centre.
Recognised apprenticeship with an NVQ, VCQ, SVQ, ATA or equivalent qualification.
Excellent knowledge of modern vehicle repair techniques.
Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
Self-motivated with a positive attitude and excellent team-working skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional standards.
What's On Offer
Basic Salary: £42,000 - £46,000.
