The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee internal refurbishment works on a major residential regeneration programme in Portishead.
Working alongside the Project Manager and wider site team, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of internal works within large occupied apartment blocks, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard while residents remain in occupation.
This is a long-term opportunity to join a secured programme with circa two years of work ahead, offering stability and the chance to play a key role on a significant live refurbishment scheme.
The Role
* Manage day-to-day site operations across internal refurbishment works
* Oversee works within large occupied residential blocks while maintaining a safe and positive environment for residents
* Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades and direct labour
* Drive programme performance and maintain project momentum
* Ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to specification
* Monitor quality standards and manage snagging through to completion
* Liaise with residents, client representatives and the wider project team
* Maintain site documentation, reports, permits and compliance records
* Support resident engagement and minimise disruption throughout the works
* Ensure high standards of health & safety, customer care and housekeeping at all times
What We're Looking For
Essential
* Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering refurbishment projects
* Experience working within occupied residential or live environments
* Strong subcontractor management and coordination skills
* Excellent understanding of health & safety and quality control processes
* Ability to manage multiple work fronts and maintain programme delivery
* Confident communicating with residents, client teams and site stakeholders
Desirable
* Social housing refurbishment experience
* Experience delivering internal refurbishment programmes within occupied residential blocks
* Experience of kitchen, bathroom, communal area or internal improvement works
* Retrofit, remediation or fire safety project experience
* SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications
