The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Asset Engineer to support earthwork examinations across the operational railway.
The successful candidate will have strong experience in earthworks examinations, railway safety procedures and producing high-quality examination records to the required standards.
Key Requirements
COSS or IWA competency to work on the operational railway.
Level 3 competency in Soil Slope Examinations (GEO-I-S) and Rock Slope Examinations (GEO-I-R).
Proven experience producing examinations to CIV/065 standard.
Experience using the JBA Database and GizMapp.
Good knowledge of railway geography and network capability.
Strong understanding of railway Safe Systems of Work, including Separated Working, Possessions, Line Blocks and Blockades.
Ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload effectively.
Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
Good communication and customer-focused skills.
Good IT skills and confidence using relevant operating systems.
About You
You will be an experienced Earthworks Examiner with the relevant Level 3 competencies and a strong understanding of working safely within an operational railway environment. You will be organised, detail-focused and able to deliver high-quality examinations within required timescales.
