About the Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Admissions & Attendance Officer to join a welcoming and thriving school in Ilford, Redbridge.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and proactive school administrator who has previous experience working within a school setting and is confident managing admissions, attendance, and pupil data systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing admissions processes, monitoring pupil attendance, maintaining accurate records, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the school office.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of pupil admissions, including in-year transfers and leavers.
Maintain accurate pupil records and ensure data compliance at all times.
Monitor daily attendance and punctuality, following up on absences where required.
Produce attendance reports and provide data analysis for senior leadership.
Liaise with parents, staff, Local Authorities, and external agencies regarding attendance and admissions matters.
Update and maintain pupil information on the school's MIS system.
Support safeguarding procedures through accurate attendance monitoring and reporting.
Assist with general school administration and front-office duties as required.Essential Requirements ✅ Previous experience working within a school environment.
✅ Experience in an Admissions Officer, Attendance Officer, or School Administration role.
✅ Strong working knowledge of at least one of the following systems:
SIMS
Arbor
Bromcom✅ Excellent IT and administrative skills.
✅ Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
✅ Excellent communication and organisational skills.
✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
Knowledge of Local Authority admissions procedures.
Attendance reporting and analysis experience.
Understanding of safeguarding procedures within schools.What We Offer
