The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Our client is going through a sustained period of growth and with several recent significant business wins they are looking for an experienced quality control (QC) inspector/co-ordinator. While you’ll also support stores, packing, and shipping, the main focus of this role is ensuring that every component meets exacting engineering standards
It is a fantastic opportunity as it provides variety and main responsibilities include:
* QC inspection (core focus): Inspect internally and externally produced components against drawings/specs using GD&T and metrology tools.
* Reporting: Maintain clear and accurate inspection records, NCR registers, calibrations, and related documentation.
* Continuous improvement: Support quality initiatives, suggest improvements, and help drive best practice across production.
* Supportive tasks (training provided):
* Book in, locate, and manage stock using ERP/MRP.
* Prepare components for road/air/sea freight and complete shipping documentation.
* Follow safe manual‑handling and 5S practices to maintain an organised shopfloor.
You will have a background in mechanical engineering and Strong hands‑on QC inspection background with engineered components. You will have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles.
