The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Operative to join our clients team at a busy processing plant in Teesside. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily plant operations, maintaining high standards of safety, housekeeping, and production efficiency.
This is a hands-on role requiring a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to site safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the operation and monitoring, processing and packaging equipment.
Carry out general production and labouring duties as required.
Load, unload, and move materials safely around the site.
Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards across the plant.
Perform routine inspections and report any faults, defects, or safety concerns.
Support maintenance activities and shutdown operations when required.
Follow site procedures, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
Work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. Essential Requirements
Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment.
Good understanding of health and safety practices.
Ability to undertake manual handling and physically demanding tasks.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A valid Site Safety Passport (CCNSG Safety Passport or equivalent).
Flexible approach to work and shift patterns where required. Desirable Requirements
Forklift Truck (FLT) Licence and previous FLT operating experience.
Experience working within a process plant, chemical, manufacturing, or bulk materials environment.
