Academics are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in Canterbury, supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The school provides a highly supportive and therapeutic setting for pupils who may have experienced trauma, anxiety, behavioural challenges, or difficulties accessing mainstream education. The Role: SEN Teacher
Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
Support pupils with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, and additional learning difficulties
Create a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment
Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and pastoral teams
Encourage emotional regulation, confidence, and academic progress
The Ideal Candidate:
Holds QTS, PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience working within SEN, SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision settings is desirable
Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
Passionate about supporting vulnerable young people
