HGV Mechanic required for an established plant hire company supplying machinery to the construction industry for over 30 years. Based in Hanbury, Redditch, the successful candidate will join an experienced in-house maintenance team responsible for servicing, repairing and maintaining a fleet of road sweepers, excavators, HGVs and commercial vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified HGV Mechanic looking for a varied role combining workshop and mobile-based maintenance activities, with ongoing training and development available.
HGV Mechanic Job Overview
Service, maintain and repair a fleet of road sweepers, excavators, HGVs and commercial vehicles
Carry out fault finding, diagnostics and mechanical repairs
Work both from the company workshop and at customer/site locations as required
Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and present vehicles for testing
Attend breakdowns and carry out reactive maintenance when required
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard whilst maintaining excellent customer service
Work independently and as part of a team to meet operational requirements
HGV Mechanic Job Requirements
Previous experience maintaining HGVs or commercial vehicles
Road sweeper experience desirable but not essential as training will be provided
Ability to diagnose and rectify mechanical faults efficiently
Familiarity and experience with Automotive Diagnostic systems
Class 2 HGV Licence is preffered
Comfortable working both mobile and workshop based
Based within a commutable distance of Redditch

£35,000 - £50,000 per annum
Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm
Overtime available
