The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
H9 Talent Solutions has an opportunity for an experienced HSE Manager to join a major industrial shutdown project in the South of England. Working for a leading contractor, you will take ownership of all Health, Safety and Environmental activities throughout the shutdown, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in full compliance with client and statutory requirements. Working on a rotation 12/2 and 6.30am - 7pm you will be required to be available throughout the shutdown.
This is a fast-paced role suited to someone with previous shutdown, outage or turnaround experience within the power generation, process, petrochemical, refinery, energy from waste or heavy industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all Health, Safety and Environmental activities throughout the shutdown.
* Provide visible leadership and promote a positive safety culture across site.
* Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation, client procedures and company standards.
* Support the planning and execution of high-risk shutdown activities.
* Review and approve RAMS, permits and safe systems of work.
* Carry out regular site inspections, audits and behavioural safety observations.
* Lead incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
* Chair daily HSE meetings, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
* Liaise closely with client representatives, project management and subcontractors.
* Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with agreed safety standards.
* Produce HSE reports, KPI data and progress updates for senior management.
* Support emergency response planning and ensure appropriate welfare arrangements are maintained.
Requirements
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
* Demonstrable experience as an HSE Manager on industrial shutdowns, outages or turnaround projects.
* Previous experience within power generation, process, petrochemical, refinery, energy from waste, COMAH or heavy industrial environments.
* Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
* Experience managing multiple contractors in high-risk operational environments.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
