Are you a Technical Writer who enjoys turning complex software into clear, practical guidance that customers genuinely find useful?
We’re working with an established and growing software business in Greater Manchester who are looking for a Technical Product Writer to join their product team.
This role sits at the heart of product delivery, working closely with Product Owners, Developers and Test teams to produce high-quality, customer-facing documentation aligned to release cycles.
What you’ll be doing:
- Creating and maintaining user guides and manuals (Word and digital formats)
- Producing online help content and structured documentation
- Creating instructional video tutorials and walkthroughs
- Translating complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly language
- Engaging with internal stakeholders and customers to understand real-world usage
- Managing multiple documentation streams across product releases
- Identifying opportunities to improve tools, structure and user assistance processes
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer / Product Writer in a software environment
- Experience producing customer-facing documentation
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt for different audiences
- Comfortable working in Agile / product-led environments
- Bonus if you’ve created instructional video content
