How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Key responsibilities include:

* Supervising and developing a team of two QA/QC professionals.

* Managing day-to-day QA/QC activities across the site.

* Reviewing manufacturing batch records and quality documentation.

* Authorising the release of raw materials, packaging components, and finished products.

* Investigating customer complaints, deviations, and quality incidents, driving robust root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.

* Managing the site's Quality Management System (QMS).

* Conducting GMP and GDP audits across manufacturing and warehouse operations.

* Supporting environmental monitoring, water testing, and sampling programmes.

* Coordinating external laboratory testing activities.

* Delivering GMP training and promoting a strong quality culture throughout the site.

* Leading continuous improvement and quality compliance projects.

* Supporting validation activities and HACCP processes where required.

* Producing quality metrics and reports for senior management.

About You

We are interested in hearing from quality professionals who can demonstrate:

* Significant previous experience within a QA/QC role in a regulated manufacturing environment.

* Prior leadership experience , whether through direct management or indirect supervision.

* Strong working knowledge of GMP and quality management systems.

* Experience investigating deviations, complaints, and quality incidents.

* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and report-writing skills.

* Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all areas of a business.

* A proactive approach to continuous improvement and driving quality standards.

* The ability to prioritise effectively and manage a varied workload.

Desirable Experience

* Degree qualification in a scientific discipline.

* Experience within pharmaceuticals, food supplements, healthcare products, bottled water, or similar regulated industries.

* Knowledge of GDP, GLP, HACCP, and Quality Risk Management principles.

* Continuous Improvement training or experience leading change initiatives.

What's on Offer?

* Permanent position based in the beautiful surroundings of Trefriw, North Wales.

* Opportunity to lead and develop a small quality team.

* A highly visible role with significant influence across site operations.

* The chance to drive quality improvements and shape site quality culture.

* A collaborative and supportive working environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.

If you're passionate about quality, compliance, and continuous improvement, and are looking for an opportunity to make a lasting impact within a regulated manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you
