Section Engineer / Senior Engineer – RAF Coningsby (Lincolnshire)

Contract Role 

We are currently seeking an experienced Section Engineer or Senior Engineer to join a major infrastructure project at RAF Coningsby. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile scheme, supporting the successful delivery of concrete paving and airfield works.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate daily site activities to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification.

Manage and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support.

Supervise concrete paving and laying operations, ensuring quality standards are maintained.

Review drawings, specifications, and method statements.

Ensure compliance with QA procedures and ITP requirements.

Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.

Maintain accurate records and support progress reporting.

Requirements

Proven experience working as a Section Engineer or Senior Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.

Strong background in concrete paving and concrete laying operations.

Previous experience supervising and developing junior engineers.

Good understanding of QA processes, ITPs, and health and safety requirements.

Ability to coordinate multiple work activities and stakeholders.

CSCS card essential.

SMSTS preferred.
