Hours: Monday–Thursday, 6:30am–4:00pm
On behalf of a very reputable and well-established specialist manufacturing business, I am recruiting for a number of skilled Manual TIG welders.
The Role
You will be responsible for producing high-quality welded components in accordance with engineering drawings, job cards, welding procedures and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, job cards, kitting lists and work instructions.
* Set up and safely use appropriate welding tools and equipment.
* Carry out manual TIG welding in accordance with approved procedures and welding schedules.
* Work to company and external quality standards
* Visually inspect completed work and identify any discrepancies.
* Maintain excellent housekeeping and support Lean 5S principles.
What We're Looking For
* Experience working within an engineering/manufacturing environment.
* Proven Manual TIG Welding experience on thin materials, generally 0.4mm–3mm.
* Experience using manufacturing jigs and assembly aids.
* NVQ Level 3 Welding Engineering apprenticeship.
* A positive, enthusiastic and "can-do" attitude.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Willingness and ability to learn a variety of processes.
