A specialist care service in the Perth area is currently recruiting an experienced RGN, RMN or RNLD Registered Nurse to join the team as Deputy Nurse Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse with strong leadership skills to join a specialist, nurse-led service supporting adults with complex care needs. The service provides personalised care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, physical disabilities and other complex needs, with a strong focus on promoting independence, dignity, choice and quality of life.

A permanent, full-time contract working 40 hours per week on day shifts
6 hours per week supernumerary to support with management and leadership responsibilities

As Deputy Nurse Manager your duties and responsibilities will include:
Supporting the Home Manager with the day-to-day running of the service
Providing strong clinical leadership and supporting the nursing and care teams
Taking responsibility for resident care in the absence of the Home Manager
Ensuring the highest standards of person-centred care are delivered
Promoting residents' independence, choice, dignity and respect
Providing specialist nursing support and advice to colleagues
Undertaking clinical assessments, care planning and risk assessments
Administering and overseeing medication management
Supervising, mentoring and developing Nurses and Care Assistants
Supporting audits, inspections and ensuring compliance with Care Inspectorate standards
Building positive relationships with residents, families, colleagues and external professionals
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure individual care needs are met
Supporting individuals to develop independence, life skills and reach their full potential
Applicants for this Deputy Nurse Manager position should meet the following criteria:
NMC registered Adult General Nurse (RGN), Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD)
Previous experience in a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead or Senior Nurse position
Experience working within a care, nursing or specialist support environment
Strong clinical knowledge and up-to-date nursing practice
Experience of person-centred care planning and risk assessment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, supervise and develop a clinical team
Good knowledge of Care Inspectorate standards and relevant care regulations
Excellent communication, organisational and clinical skills
A compassionate, resilient and person-centred approach to care
Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, learning disabilities, mental health needs or behaviours that may be perceived as challenging would be advantageous
Full eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship or visa switch available)
