Internal Sales Executive
 
Salary: £35,000 + Quarterly Bonus
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
Location: Portsmouth

We are currently recruiting for an Internal Sales Executive to join an established and growing business, with responsibility for developing profitable sales across defined trade sectors.
 
As an Internal Sales Executive, you will take ownership of an agreed sales pipeline and be responsible for identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities, as well as re-engaging dormant accounts and growing existing customer relationships.
 
You will:

Make proactive outbound contact via telephone, email, WhatsApp and Teams/video meetings.
Manage opportunities from initial contact through qualification, quotation, negotiation and conversion.
Re-engage dormant customers and identify opportunities to increase sales with existing accounts.
Build long-term customer relationships by understanding commercial needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions.
Prepare and follow up quotations, product information, samples and sales proposals.
Promote new products, complementary ranges, special offers and seasonal campaigns.
Follow up leads generated through websites, marketing campaigns, exhibitions and referrals.
Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records within the CRM/ERP system.
Manage an active sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasts and updates.
Work closely with external sales colleagues and internal teams including Finance, Warehouse, Production and Despatch to ensure a responsive customer experience.
Provide professional after-sales support and assist with resolving customer queries. You will ideally have:

Proven B2B/inside sales or business development experience.
A track record of identifying prospects, developing opportunities and winning new business.
Excellent telephone and written communication skills.
Confidence using email, messaging and virtual meeting platforms to engage customers.
Strong commercial awareness and experience working towards sales and activity targets.
Strong negotiation, objection-handling and closing skills.
Experience using a CRM or ERP system to manage customer records and sales pipelines.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
A proactive, resilient and self-motivated approach.
