An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Operations and Maintenance team at Lancashire Renewables Ltd. working on a 5-shift system at our Leyland facility.
What you’ll be doing
Oversee the safe, efficient operation of bio‑drying and odour control systems across the facility, providing technical expertise and hands-on support while partnering with supervisors to deliver effective operations and maintenance programmes.

The following skills and knowledge are advantageous, alongside a desire to learn and develop, demonstrated through a willingness to undertake role-specific training opportunities and continuous development
NPORS certification for mobile plant (e.g. Front-End Loader, Forklift Truck, Tele-truck)
Knowledge or experience with bio-drying and waste processing systems
Familiarity with odour abatement systems
Understanding of processes and infrastructure in waste treatment facilities

Who are we?
Lancashire Renewables Ltd was established for the operation and management of the two waste treatment facilities built for the Lancashire Waste Contract.
Our two facilities in Thornton and Leyland are manned 365 days a year. Both sites can process over 5,000 tonnes of residual (black bin bag) waste per week and divert 95% of this material away from landfill.
Our aim is to achieve a sustainable future for Lancashire by providing services to process biodegradable and non-biodegradable house waste and our people are vital in helping us achieve this.
Our employees work in a variety of operations, maintenance, logistics and support roles across our two sites in Leyland and Thornton, actively encouraging internal growth through development and training programmes.
