Electrical Technician

Wetherby, Flexible daytime hours, £35,000 - £40,000 + Benefits

We're recruiting for an experienced Electrical Technician to join a highly respected and innovative business in Wetherby. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a close-knit team on a variety of exciting projects, combining hands-on electrical work with creative engineering problem-solving.

What You'll Be Doing

Installation, maintenance, testing and fault-finding of commercial and industrial electrical systems
Supporting electrical installations across buildings, lighting and site infrastructure
Diagnosing and repairing faults quickly to minimise downtime
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs
Working safely in line with current electrical regulations and health & safety standards
Collaborating with engineering and operations teams on interesting development projects
Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
Helping identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovative solutions

What We're Looking For

NVQ Level 3 Qualified Electrician (or equivalent)
Experience within industrial and/or commercial electrical environments
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of current electrical regulations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Practical, flexible and proactive approach

Desirable Skills

Experience with electro-mechanical systems
Knowledge of electronics and control systems
Working knowledge of automation and automated machinery
AM2 Qualification
Mechanical maintenance experience

Hours

8-hour working day
Flexible start and finish times between 7:30am and 5:30pm
Weekend rota averaging 2 weekend days per month
Occasional additional hours during busy project periods, including some late evenings (up to 9:30pm)

Benefits

£35,000 - £40,000 salary

33 days holiday (25 days plus Bank Holidays)
