The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Mechanical Fitter - Immediate Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for two experienced Mechanical Fitters to join a major engineering operation based in Lincoln. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex mechanical equipment within a well-established engineering environment on a long-term, rolling contract basis.
The Role
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the dismantling, repair, assembly, installation, and commissioning of technical equipment and machinery. You will play a key role in maintenance projects, equipment overhauls, fault diagnosis, and the set-up and ramp-up of mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Dismantling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling mechanical equipment.
Installing and setting up large mechanical components and systems.
Carrying out alignment, lining-up, and precision fitting activities.
Supporting maintenance and refurbishment projects.
Diagnosing and resolving technical and mechanical issues.
Working with gearboxes, skids, and associated mechanical assemblies.
Operating cranes and lifting equipment safely in line with site procedures.
Assisting with equipment commissioning, set-up, and ramp-up activities.
Ensuring all work is completed to high standards of quality and safety.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter within an industrial, manufacturing, power generation, or heavy engineering environment.
Experience fitting and assembling large mechanical components.
Competence in alignment, lining-up, and precision fitting techniques.
Experience working with model gearboxes and skid-mounted equipment.
Crane operation experience and awareness of safe lifting practices.
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering Construction Plants and Systems or a relevant mechanical engineering discipline.
Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
A commitment to safe working practices and quality workmanship.
