Aspire People are recruiting student teachers who want to gain consistent, hands-on experience in primary schools while continuing their teacher training.
We work with schools across Manchester that require reliable classroom support, including part-time and longer-term opportunities. These roles could suit students looking to work agreed days each week alongside their studies, subject to school requirements and university commitments.
The Role:
- Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Working alongside class teachers to deliver engaging learning activities
- Supporting individuals and small groups with reading, writing and Maths
- Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and positive learning habits
- Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
- Assisting with classroom preparation, routines and behaviour management
- Building familiarity with a school, its staff and its approach to learning

The Ideal Candidate:
- Currently undertaking primary teacher training or a relevant education qualification
- Has experience working with children, through placements, volunteering or employment
- Is organised, dependable and keen to develop professionally
- Can commit to agreed working days and communicate availability clearly
- Has a positive approach to behaviour, inclusion and safeguarding
Availability will vary by school, and working days will need to be agreed around the requirements of the placement and your studies.
