Role Description
This is an on-site contract role for a CBT Counsellor, located in Newry.
We are looking for an enthusiastic someone to join our growing team of warm and caring counsellors in our Newry therapy room.
We offer flexible working hours giving you the freedom to choose the days and times that suit you and your family commitments.
Key responsibilities include providing individual counselling sessions using CBT techniques, developing personalised treatment plans, monitoring clients’ progress, and maintaining accurate documentation. The CBT Counsellor will adhere to ethical practices to ensure quality care for clients.
Qualifications
We are looking for counsellors who hold a Foundation Degree in Counselling or higher and a Level 5 Diploma in CBT or higher.
Applicants should be registered with BACP or accredited with the NCPS.
Having a qualification in Trauma Counselling would be beneficial but not essential.
The ideal candidate should have:
- proficiency in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques and the able to create tailored treatment plans
- interpersonal and communication skills for building trust and rapport with clients
- experience in maintaining client records, collecting clinical data, and adhering to confidentiality protocols
- commitment to ethical practices and continuous professional development
