Document Production & Legal Support
Provide high-quality audio and copy typing support for a variety of legal documents, including correspondence, emails, and presentations, using Microsoft Office.
Use the firm's electronic document management system to organise, save, and retrieve files efficiently.Client & File Management
Manage and coordinate diaries for lawyers, including scheduling appointments and assisting with overall file management.
Act as a first point of contact for clients, handling basic enquiries professionally and taking accurate messages in the absence of fee-earners.
Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients, ensuring they feel supported and informed.Financial & Administrative Tasks
Produce bills, financial reports, and other relevant information on a regular basis (e.g., monthly).
Provide effective credit management support to the team.
Perform routine administrative duties, including managing daily post, photocopying, faxing, and handling incoming correspondence.
Ensure urgent post or queries are escalated to a lawyer immediately if the primary contact is unavailable.Specialist Practice Area Tasks
Private Wealth: Prepare and submit Probate applications and LPA forms using online portals.
Real Estate: Apply for property searches via online services, including the Land Registry Portal, and complete Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) forms on the HMRC website. Manage Land Registry applications and handle post-completion formalities, such as file closure and archiving.Collaboration & General Support
Provide typing and administrative support to other secretaries, departments, or offices when capacity allows.
Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on procedures and legal requirements.These are fantastic opportunities for an experienced legal secretary who has ideally worked within a private client or real estate setting or similar.
The successful applicant will have:
Minimum of 4 years Legal Secretarial experience
Proven working knowledge of documents, processes, and terminology
Fast and accurate audio typing speeds
Excellent IT skills, in particular, experience using digital dictation and Microsoft Office How to Apply:
