Key Responsibilities
*
Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and classroom activities as a Teaching Assistant.
*
Work with individuals or small groups of pupils to reinforce learning and provide additional support.
*
Assist in preparing classroom resources and maintaining an organised learning environment.
*
Follow all school policies and procedures, including safeguarding, behaviour management, and health and safety.
*
Support pupils with varying learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) when required.
*
Encourage positive behaviour and support pupils’ social and emotional development.
*
Observe and report pupil progress to the class teacher.
*
Help supervise pupils during classroom activities, breaks, and school events when necessary.
Person Specification
Essential:
*
Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
*
Good communication and teamwork skills.
*
Ability to follow instructions and work under the direction of the class teacher.
*
Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
Desirable:
*
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
*
Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
*
Knowledge of behaviour management strategies.
*
Ability to adapt support to meet different learning needs
