The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

An established engineering solutions provider is seeking a Junior Field Service Engineer to support installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair activities across a diverse customer base. This role is ideal for a multi‑skilled engineer who enjoys a varied position involving travel, technical problem‑solving, customer interaction, and hands‑on engineering work.
Key Responsibilities for Junior Field Service Engineer
Carry out installation, commissioning, servicing, and repair of electro‑mechanical equipment.
Provide reactive and planned maintenance support across a range of customer sites around the UK and occasionally abroad
Diagnose faults and perform repairs on electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
Undertake strip‑down, rebuild, and testing of equipment within the workshop.
Maintain accurate service reports, documentation, and job records.
Travel across the UK and occasionally abroad as required.
Experience & Skills Required for Junior Field Service Engineer
Completed apprenticeship or equivalent
An interest in working on electrical/electronic systems
Basic mechanical aptitude with ideally some experience in strip‑down and rebuild
Ability to interpret electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
An ambition to learn and develop – lots of training will be provided
An understanding of engineering principles and a root cause analysis mindset
Flexible approach to working hours, travel, and varying job demands.
Good communication skills and the ability to deliver excellent customer service.
Competent IT skills for reporting, documentation, and communication.
A valid UK driving licence and passport.
NVQ Level 3 in electronics or mechanical.
