Salary: £75,000 + travel expenses = car allowance + pension + healthcare + bonus.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the implementation of QA/QC procedures across HS2 rail infrastructure projects.
* Ensure construction and M&E works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs and HS2 requirements.
* Carry out regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, materials and installation quality.
* Prepare, review and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and associated quality documentation.
* Coordinate inspections, hold points and witness points with the project team, client and relevant stakeholders.
* Review subcontractor quality documentation and ensure works are completed in accordance with approved requirements.
* Assist with the management and close-out of NCRs, defects, observations and corrective actions.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, approvals and quality-related activities.
* Assist with technical reviews of construction and installation activities and identify potential quality issues at an early stage.
* Support testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities where required.
* Participate in system walkdowns and inspections ahead of testing, commissioning and handover.
* Ensure all relevant inspection and testing records are completed, signed and filed correctly.
* Monitor subcontractor compliance with project quality requirements and approved documentation.
* Assist with the preparation and maintenance of project Quality Plans and associated procedures.
* Support internal and external quality audits and ensure any actions are followed through to completion.
* Assist with the compilation of O&M manuals, as-built information, test certificates, inspection records and handover documentation.
* Attend project meetings and provide updates on quality issues, inspections, NCRs and outstanding actions.
* Record and communicate lessons learned and support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
* Work closely with Project Engineers, Site Managers and subcontractors to promote a Right First Time approach.
* Ensure all QA documentation is maintained in line with project and company requirements.
* Support the project team in maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 and HS2 quality requirements
